Creamy Iced Vanilla Matcha Latte

  • Author: Eden
  • Total Time: 2 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A simple, creamy iced vanilla matcha latte made with just three ingredients. This energizing drink is faster to make than coffee and tastes like a dessert treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 teaspoons (4 grams) ceremonial or culinary grade matcha powder
  • 1 cup (240ml) cold milk (oat, almond, dairy, or coconut)
  • 12 tablespoons (15-30ml) vanilla syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon warm water (optional, for making a paste)

Instructions

  1. Fill a large glass to the top with ice cubes.
  2. In a shaker bottle or mason jar, add the matcha powder. If desired, add 1 tablespoon of warm water and whisk into a smooth paste to prevent clumps.
  3. Pour in the cold milk and add the vanilla syrup.
  4. Seal the lid tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until frothy and vibrant green.
  5. Pour the mixture over the ice in the prepared glass.
  6. Garnish with extra matcha powder or whipped cream if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality ceremonial grade matcha. If using dairy milk, whole or 2% provides the creamiest texture. The matcha concentrate can be pre-mixed with water and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
