Sparkling Blackberry Lime Mocktail

  • Author: Eden
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings 1x

Description

A refreshing, alcohol-free summer drink made with muddled blackberries, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and sparkling water. It’s easy to make, visually stunning, and perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups blackberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (from 46 limes)
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (or honey/agave)
  • 4 cups sparkling water (club soda or seltzer)
  • Lime wheels (for garnish)
  • Mint leaves (optional)
  • Ice (large cubes preferred)
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional, for flavor enhancement)

Instructions

  1. Place blackberries in the bottom of a large pitcher. Muddle them with a muddler or the back of a spoon to release juices and color, but avoid turning them into pulp.
  2. Pour in the fresh lime juice and simple syrup. Whisk vigorously to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.
  3. Slowly top the mixture with sparkling water, pouring down the side of the pitcher to preserve carbonation.
  4. Add a large scoop of ice and stir gently.
  5. Pour into glasses filled with fresh ice.
  6. Garnish with lime wheels and mint sprigs if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

[‘Use cold ingredients to keep the drink chilled longer.’, ‘Do not use bottled lime juice; fresh juice is essential for bright flavor.’, ‘If using frozen berries, no need to thaw; muddle directly from the bag.’, ‘Add a tiny pinch of sea salt to enhance sweetness and lime flavor.’, ‘Store the base mixture (berries, lime, syrup) in the fridge for up to 2 days. Add sparkling water just before serving to prevent it from going flat.’, ‘For a less sweet version, reduce the simple syrup or use unsweetened sparkling water.’]
