No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie: 5-Ingredient Easy Dessert

  • Author: Eden
  • Total Time: 4 hours 15 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

A rich, creamy, and foolproof no-bake dessert that requires zero heat. This pie combines a crunchy chocolate cookie crust with a dense, cheesecake-like peanut butter filling, making it perfect for lazy weeknights or last-minute guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 30 chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreos), crushed into fine crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (standard processed brand)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces whipped topping (such as Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)

Instructions

  1. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or a heavy-duty zip-top bag with a rolling pin.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the cookie crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar until the mixture resembles damp sand.
  3. Press the crust mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Use the bottom of a measuring cup to pack it tight. Chill in the fridge for 15 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and peanut butter together with an electric mixer until completely smooth and silky.
  5. Add the powdered sugar and beat until combined. The mixture will be thick and dense.
  6. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping using a rubber spatula to maintain airiness. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the filling into the chilled crust and smooth the top.
  8. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, until firm.
  9. Slice with a sharp knife dipped in hot water for clean cuts. Serve cold.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps. Use standard creamy peanut butter, not natural, to prevent a greasy texture. The pie must chill for at least 4 hours to set properly. Do not freeze, as the whipped topping will become grainy upon thawing.
